Angel Fire, New Mexico

Angel Fire finally has trash pickup.

There's never been curbside service in the Village, which means every homeowner and every rental guest has been hauling their own garbage to the transfer station. We come get it instead.

Weekly pickup for homes. Checkout-day pickup for short-term rentals. Run by the same local crew behind Clean AF, already working in properties across Angel Fire.

Why this exists

The Village has never offered trash pickup.

It's always been on you to bag it, load it into your own vehicle, and drive it into town. For a full-time resident that's a weekly chore. For a rental owner, it's something worse: a job you're quietly handing to your guests, and something they'll always dread at the end of their vacation.

// 01

If you live here

You're up the mountain and you don't head into town all that often. When you finally do, the last thing you want is to load the truck with a week of garbage and add ten or fifteen minutes onto the trip just to get to the community dumpsters.

// 02

If you're a guest

You've had a great, relaxing week. Then you read the checkout instructions and find out you're supposed to haul your own trash into town before you go. Your SUV is already packed with luggage, so now the bags ride on top of it, and you smell them the whole way.

// 03

Either way, the bears win

Trash that gets left out where wildlife can reach it ends up torn open and scattered down the road. It's a mess for the neighborhood, and the Village treats it as littering. That's exactly where we come in.

For short-term rental owners

Your guests didn't come here to find the dump.

Most Angel Fire guests are coming from a city, where trash disappears from the curb and nobody thinks about it. They arrive with no idea they're expected to bag up a week of garbage and drive it across town themselves. They find out at checkout, with a packed car and a trip they didn't plan for. That's the moment a five-star stay turns into a three-star review about something that had nothing to do with your property.

"Great cabin, but we had to load all our trash into the car and drive it to a dump on the way out. Wish we'd known."
That review isn't about your house. It's about a chore nobody warned them about, and it's the single most common trash complaint we've heard in ten years of managing rentals in this valley.

Your guest just walks out the door

They put their trash in the Trashy AF can, set it out before 10 AM on checkout day, and leave. No bags in the back seat, no detour on the way out, no packing around garbage. It's exactly what they expect from home.

The guest pays for it, not you

Airbnb and VRBO both let you add a small per-reservation fee. Set it once and it covers the pickup automatically on every booking. On a three-night stay that's about $13 a night, which disappears on a bill that's already several hundred a night.

Completely hands-off after setup

You paste your listing's calendar link once at signup. From then on we pull your checkout dates automatically. Every new booking, every change, no spreadsheet to update and nothing to remember. You never tell us when someone's leaving.

You know it got done

You get a notification every time we collect, with the date and time. If a guest forgets to set the can out, you hear that from us the same morning, not from the next guest walking into a full can.

It costs your guest about $13 a night.

A $40 checkout pickup, spread across a typical three-night stay. Add it to your rate and the whole thing pays for itself, while removing the last bad taste from an otherwise great trip.

How it works

Three steps, then you stop thinking about it.

1

Sign up online

Takes a few minutes. Rental owners paste their listing calendar link, and we walk you through exactly where to find it in Airbnb or VRBO.

2

We deliver your can

A labeled Trashy AF can shows up at your property, rented or bought, whichever you picked. We confirm where it lives, where it goes out, and where we put it back.

3

We handle it from there

Homes get weekly pickup on a set day. Rentals get collected on checkout day, automatically. You get a confirmation each time.

Built around the fact that we live in bear country.

Cans stay inside between pickups, go out the morning of, and get collected the same day, so there's no overnight window for a bear to work on. Nothing torn open, nothing scattered down the road, and no citation for trash the Village considers litter. It's the difference between a service designed for a mountain town and one designed for a suburb.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Do you service condos?

No. Most condo buildings already have shared dumpsters on site, so there's nothing for us to solve. We serve single-family homes and single-family rentals.

What if my guest forgets to set the can out?

We let you know that morning. With a code on file we can often grab it ourselves; otherwise it gets caught on the next pickup. You'll never find out from the next guest.

How does the calendar sync work?

Airbnb and VRBO both publish a calendar link for each listing. You paste it once and we read your checkout dates from it going forward, including new bookings and changes.

Do I need to be there for pickup?

No. Homeowners set the can out and we take it from there. Rental owners give us a garage or lockbox code at signup so we can handle it with nobody home.

Should I rent the can or buy it?

Renting is $9.99 a month and keeps your upfront cost near zero. Buying is $79.99 once and the can is yours for good, which works out cheaper if you plan to stick around past about eight months.

What if I own several rentals?

Add them all under one account in a single signup. You get one monthly bill covering every property and every checkout we collected.
